The FindOUT Podcast

Creative Direction, Logo, Design

Newton’s third law of motion states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. It’s also known as the law of action and reaction.

The modern translation of this is “Fuck Around, and Find Out”

Rebuilding the influence of the left demands honest, real, uncomfortable conversations…

We selected a woodcut of Sir Isaac Newton, illuminating his workshop as the brand’s representation, adorned by iconography of apples, weights, and old illustrations of debate and politics to signify it’s masculine, stoic, yet rambunctious nature – and to highlight that each action has an equal and opposite reaction – FindOut.

Brand Inspiration

The Podcast’s Demographic skews heavily male, aged 30-45.
We decided to pursue a moderately grungy throwback to the 90s through the mid 00’s.
We wanted FindOut to feel like a punk record you’d see on display at a 00’s skate shop.

The tone of the podcast is irreverent, politically left leaning, and iconoclastic.
The name “FindOut” came from the expression “Fuck Around and Find Out”.

To turn heads further, we selected Sir Isaac Newton as the representative of this expression, due to his Third Law of Motion:

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The very theme of this podcast in Trump’s America.
